Martin Reza-Rodriguez
Martin Reza is the owner of the Law Office of Martin Reza. Mr. Reza was the lead litigation attorney at Garza & Associates in Bellaire, Texas for several years. Mr. Reza gained valuable experience managing hundreds of cases at his former firm. Mr. Reza is now ready to employ his experience and ideas into his own practice. Mr. Reza represents people in complex removal proceedings and bond hearings, presenting applications before the Immigration Court such as cancellation of removal, asylum, and waivers under INA Section 212(h) and 212(c). Mr. Reza is highly skilled in performing meticulous research to fully analyze client’s cases to determine the appropriate case strategy, eligibility for relief, as well as to successfully respond to the Department of Homeland Security’s multi-faceted requests for evidence.
Mr. Reza’s personal background makes him particularly well-suited to empathize with those finding their way through the immigration system. Mr. Reza moved to Houston, Texas from Durango, Mexico at the age of four. He was the first member of his family to attend college, and he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Mr. Reza attended Thurgood Marshall School of Lawwhere his academic success earned him several merit-based scholarships. He was granted a full tuition scholarship for his second year of law school, a scholarship for his third year, and he received the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston Scholarship in 2012. Mr. Reza was the valedictorian of his law school class, obtaining the top grade in 10 of his law school classes (Property, Torts, Family Based Immigration, Business Associations; Civil Procedure; Contracts, Federal Income Tax, Employment Law, Sports Law, and Federal Jurisdiction). He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2014 and was licensed by the State Bar of Texas the same year.
Mr. Reza is committed to obtaining justice and access to fair representation for underserved communities. During law school, he participated in the Texas Access to Justice Pro Bono Spring Break, where he assisted pro se litigants at the Montgomery County courthouse in preparing their pleadings and evidence for their cases.
Outside of the office, Mr. Reza enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three,soong to be four, young children going bowling, playing at Chuck E. Cheese’s, and watching movies. He is an avid soccer fan as well as a fan of the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros.
