Areas of Practice
Petitions
The first step in the immigration process usually begins with a petition by a relative or employer for their loved one or employee, respectively. Our office can help you file prepare the petition and supporting documents to ensure that the petition complies with applicable law and regulations.
Waivers
If your case requires you to file a waiver, we can help. We will first determine if you are eligible for a waiver, and then work with you hand-in-hand through out the process. Waivers are extremely complicated processes that should not be taken lightly. Make sure that you secure the help of an experienced immigration attorney for this process. Our office can help.
Bond Hearings
If your loved one is being detained by the Department of Homeland Security, we can help you determine if he or she is eligible to request a bond. In some cases a person is simply not eligible to request bond either because they are subject to mandatory detention or the immigration judge does not have jurisdiction to entertain a bond hearing. We will be honest with you and tell you whether your loved one is eligible to ask for bond. If they are, we can file the bond motion and supporting documents, and appear before the immigration judge to request a bond for your loved one.
Legal Memorandums
In some cases, you may find yourself accused of violating a law that may place your immigration status in risk. If your criminal defense attorney is not well versed in immigration law, but would like to present the gravity of your situation to the judge or district attorney we can help prepare a legal memorandum explaining the immigration consequences of a conviction.
Removal Defense
If you or a loved one has been placed in removal proceedings (deportation proceedings), we can help represent you or them. Our office will identify the appropriate forms of relief and prepare your case accordingly. We will guide you through every step of the process, and will provide zealous representation.
Naturalization
If you are a lawful permanent resident and you want to become a U.S. citizen, we can help. We will determine if you meet the requirements for citizenship and advise you accordingly. If you have any past criminal history, even if you were not convicted of any offense, it is important to consult an immigration attorney before filing for citizenship. In some cases, filing for citizenship when you are not eligible, may result in you being placed in removal proceedings (deportation proceedings) depending on the reasons for denial of your citizenship application. Our office can help you determine if you are eligible for citizenship, and can represent you in that process.
